Senior Engineering Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee significant, cross-disciplinary, multi-year security initiatives from inception to completion.

• Transform service vision into actionable strategy and execution in collaboration with Security Engineering Service Owners and Engineering Managers.

• Establish roadmaps, objectives, and key results while driving project delivery.

• Hold teams accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurable results.

• Identify challenges, resolve dependencies, and facilitate team progress.

• Approach security services as products, treating developers as customers.

• Enhance the security value delivered by each service.

• Minimize developer hindrances and redesign services in partnership with key stakeholders.

• Convert progress updates, risks, and trade-offs into decision-ready narratives for leadership.

• Manage a portfolio of simultaneous service programs while prioritizing competing demands.

• Advance program management practices, standards, and tools across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with 7 years; or a PhD with 4 years; or a combination of education, skills, and experience equivalent.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale, complex, high-visibility programs to achieve measurable results.

• Exceptional ability to learn in unfamiliar technical areas.

• Capability to influence without direct authority and foster alignment among teams and partners.

• Ability to work independently in situations of ambiguity with a broad scope.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Significant experience in communicating at the executive level.

• Knowledge of how modern software is developed and secured throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Insight into how AI is transforming software development and security.

• Experience in product management or program management within product teams.

• Program management certification such as PMP or PGMP is advantageous.

• Preferred background in software engineering or DevOps, along with hands-on security experience.
