Senior Engineering Manager, Treatments Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend and full-stack engineers, focusing on hiring, performance management, career growth, and employee retention.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for scalable architecture, design reviews, automated testing, and production observability.

• Advocate for AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance velocity, quality, and metrics impact.

• Partner with product, design, and operations teams to gather requirements and steer the roadmap.

• Propel metrics-driven prioritization by leveraging business impact data and platform health metrics.

• Work alongside the Core AI team to integrate and deliver Generative AI and Predictive AI capabilities.

• Engage in additional duties as necessary, including participation in on-call rotations.

• Travel frequently to the Menlo Park headquarters for planning workshops and team collaboration sessions.

• Execute other responsibilities as directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing engineering teams.

• Proven history of hiring, nurturing, and retaining exceptional engineering talent.

• Strong hands-on experience in backend development, including microservices, API design, SQL databases, and event-driven architectures.

• Expertise in architecting and managing production systems at scale, including observability, on-call duty, incident management, and performance optimization.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development workflows.

• Successful collaboration with product, design, and operations stakeholders, including governance of the roadmap and prioritization.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
