Senior Engineering Manager, MSSP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand the MSP/MSSP engineering team at Horizon3.

• Enhance the NodeZero platform capabilities tailored for Managed Service Providers and Managed Security Service Providers.

• Develop, mentor, and build backend and full-stack engineering teams aimed at multi-tenant platform functionalities.

• Formulate the platform strategy for multi-tenancy, including parent and sub-client relationships, tenant allocation, partner administration, client dashboards, co-branding, and white-labeling.

• Create architecture for account hierarchies, delegated administration, tenant isolation, and partner-specific entitlement and licensing processes.

• Utilize design reviews, code reviews, and blameless retrospectives to foster engineering excellence.

• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Sales to synchronize roadmaps with partner requirements.

• Balance support for partners and operational demands with platform enhancements and new MSP/MSSP functionalities.

• Recruit, onboard, manage, mentor, coach, develop, recognize, and retain engineering talent.

• Lead collaboratively with peer management and senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams that build and manage multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale.

• Robust technical foundation in multi-tenancy, account hierarchies, tenant isolation, delegated administration, and parent/sub-client models.

• Familiarity with partner or channel software frameworks, including MSP, MSSP, OEM, white-label, reseller, or co-branded platforms.

• Successful history of transforming intricate platform functionalities from design to production and large-scale operation.

• Strong expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS is preferred.

• Knowledge in identity and access management, RBAC, authorization models, and enterprise account structures.

• Experience in guiding architectural decisions through structured design reviews, RFCs, or similar methodologies.

• Capability to produce clear and lasting process documentation.

• Proficiency in modern backend programming languages such as Python or Go.

• Proven success in hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineers in remote or distributed settings.

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to balance the delivery of strategic roadmaps with partner support and operational necessities.

• Background in cybersecurity or security platforms, third-party risk management, compliance-related capabilities, licensing, entitlements, subscription management, or billing integrations is advantageous.
