Software Engineering Manager, Identity Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers, steering the product vision and roadmap.

• Contribute individually through hands-on coding and architectural design.

• Oversee backend engineering initiatives, from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications within CrowdStrike products.

• Utilize and create cloud-based systems to identify targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production on a global scale.

• Collaborate and brainstorm with members from various teams to define and build solutions.

• Direct the technical path and make architectural choices for the team.

• Thrive in a startup-like atmosphere with a small, agile team.

• Continuously assess the product to enhance architecture, user experience, performance, and stability.

• Independently manage work in a high-trust environment.

• Ensure the high availability of essential cloud services, including on-call responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cloud and systems programming (preferably in Go, with alternatives including Python, NodeJS, Java, or C#).

• More than 3 years of experience leading engineering teams.

• Experience collaborating with remote teams and individuals while maintaining agility and code velocity.

• Proficient in designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven architectures for large-scale runtime systems.

• Demonstrated ownership, responsibility, and professionalism.

• Strong skills in cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication with diverse roles, including engineering, product management, support, and sales engineering.

• Extensive cloud knowledge in at least one of AWS, GCP, or OCI.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.

• Ability to learn quickly and independently.

• Experience with AI-driven developer tools.
