Engineering Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of 4 to 6 engineers in an engineering capacity.

• Translate the strategic goals of the company into clear and actionable objectives for the team.

• Foster the technical and career growth of team members by providing constructive feedback, monitoring their performance, and supporting decisions throughout the people management cycle.

• Ensure the successful execution of projects by leading complex initiatives, tracking performance metrics, and eliminating obstacles.

• Act as a technical authority for architectural decisions, backlog refinement, code reviews, and technical discussions.

• Maintain accountability for the quality and technical deliverables of the team.

• Identify trends and opportunities for ongoing improvement.

• Review and enhance workflows to boost productivity.

• Ensure alignment with Product Managers, Designers, other Engineering Managers, and collaborating teams.

• Coordinate initiatives across various teams.

• Plan and oversee the team's resource allocation effectively.

• Advocate for the integration of Artificial Intelligence within engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading software engineering teams.

• Strong background in software development, with the capability to engage in technical discussions, support architectural decisions, and drive the technical advancement of the team.

• Experience in people management, encompassing career development, feedback, performance management, and decision-making related to the people management cycle.

• Proven track record in executing complex projects and coordinating deliverables across multiple teams and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development best practices.

• Knowledge of scalability strategies and the development of long-term solutions.

• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at various organizational levels.

• Proficiency in using AI tools and a keen interest in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to enhance productivity and support engineering teams.
