Senior Engineering Manager – AI, ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the CTO as the main technical leader for in-house machine learning and AI agent development.

• Create and manage platform and AI/ML Ops capabilities that allow teams to operate efficiently and reliably.

• Develop features for clients that utilize machine learning and AI models.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and customers while actively contributing code.

• Organize and oversee initiatives that span multiple quarters.

• Assist team members in enhancing their skills and careers while upholding high performance standards.

• Foster a continuously improving and collaborative work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and managing production machine learning systems from start to finish.

• Some familiarity with using LLMs to develop AI and agentic experiences is advantageous.

• Previous experience leading a team of 5–10 engineers and AI/ML developers, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management.

• Strong architectural instincts and the ability to analyze Python ML stacks and ReAct loops.

• Capability to make scalable design choices at the code level.

• Practical backend engineering experience in the cloud, especially with AWS.

• Understanding of fundamental CI/CD practices.

• An advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, physics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
