Senior Engineering Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Establish and communicate technical standards, principles, and guidelines for the engineering ecosystem.

• Act as an architectural reference point for various squads.

• Collaborate with and guide Tech Leads to ensure uniformity in technical decisions.

• Define and refine solution architectures, taking into account scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Encourage integration among squads to prevent technical and organizational silos.

• Assist in making highly complex technical decisions and lead problem-solving initiatives.

• Assess and recommend technologies, frameworks, tools, and development standards.

• Ensure the implementation of software engineering best practices and maintain code quality standards.

• Set standards for the development, integration, and enhancement of solutions.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to pinpoint risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement.

• Assist Tech Leads in architectural and technical decision-making.

• Contribute to the advancement of engineering processes, aiming for increased efficiency, quality, and productivity.

• Foster a cohesive view of the technology ecosystem, ensuring squad decisions align with the overarching technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Software Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Principal Engineer, or in a similar role.

• Demonstrated experience working within environments that include multiple squads and engineering teams.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture and systems engineering.

• Proven experience in defining technical standards and guidelines.

• Capability to act as a technical reference for Tech Leads and development teams.

• Familiarity with distributed architecture, APIs, integrations, scalability, and development best practices.

• Experience in making intricate technical decisions.

• Strong understanding of code quality, development standards, and engineering processes.

• Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional alignment abilities.

• Strategic mindset, complemented by a hands-on approach when required.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
