Senior Engineer I, Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and execute high-performance distributed control plane services utilizing Go

• Oversee the technical execution of intricate project workstreams from design to release

• Create scalable microservice interfaces employing gRPC and REST

• Guide junior and mid-level engineers through technical mentorship and structured code reviews

• Address edge cases in distributed systems and resolve operational bottlenecks

• Enhance build pipelines, service boundaries, and operational workflows

• Engage in on-call operational support and system monitoring

• Diagnose production incidents to ensure high platform availability

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Go, microservices architecture, and distributed control plane systems or low-latency infrastructure APIs

• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or cloud-native infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes or Firecracker

• Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, concurrency patterns, and network performance optimization in Linux environments

• Proven ability to lead complex projects while breaking down isolated problems into deliverable features

• Experience in mentoring engineers
