Senior Engineer I, Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design and develop high-performance distributed control plane services utilizing Go

• Oversee intricate project workstreams from initial design to final release

• Create scalable microservice interfaces using gRPC and REST

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and code evaluations

• Address edge cases in distributed systems and resolve operational bottlenecks

• Enhance build pipelines, refine service boundaries, and improve operational workflows

• Engage in on-call support and system monitoring to diagnose production incidents and ensure platform availability

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Go, microservices architecture, and distributed control plane systems or low-latency infrastructure APIs

• Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or cloud-native infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes or Firecracker

• Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, concurrency patterns, and network performance optimization in Linux environments

• Capability to lead complex projects, decompose problems into actionable features, and guide engineers

• Possess a growth mindset, eagerness to learn, receptiveness to feedback, and a focus on code maintainability
