Senior Engineer – Falcon NG-SIEM, Serverless Cell Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the health, performance, and reliability of LogScale cells.

• Address incidents and engage in follow-the-sun on-call rotations.

• Upgrade LogScale clusters and microservices employing ring-based rollout techniques.

• Apply patches, modify configurations, and restore cells following failures.

• Develop and sustain monitoring aligned with established Service Level Indicators.

• Establish alerting mechanisms, synthetic test suites, and operational dashboards for effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Create Go microservices and automation scripts to streamline operational procedures, minimize toil, and facilitate self-healing.

• Collaborate with product engineering and customer support teams to address production issues and implement platform changes.

• Engage in mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and the engineering of large-scale distributed systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations.

• Extensive experience in managing and enhancing distributed systems at scale.

• Background in capacity planning, resource optimization, and scaling of infrastructure operations.

• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or a comparable programming language.

• Familiarity with AWS, OCI, or GCP, covering compute, storage, networking, and infrastructure-as-code.

• Experience with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar solutions.

• A strong passion for reliability engineering and operational excellence.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to balance operational stability with feature delivery pragmatically.

• Documented experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business results.

• Bonus: Knowledge of monitoring systems, SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, alerting, troubleshooting distributed systems, database/log/search/SIEM platforms, self-healing automation, Kafka or similar streaming platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and cybersecurity.
