Senior Engineer, Constellation Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and broaden processes, methodologies, and internal tools for constellation orbit design, including launch planning and revisit parameters.

• Assist in constellation design evaluations and decision-making milestones.

• Offer expertise in orbital mechanics.

• Develop analytical scenarios, configurations, and operational impacts for specific requirements.

• Utilize and refine constellation modeling and automation tools to present performance metrics for internal trade studies, programs, and proposal activities.

• Aid in documenting and presenting analytical findings, emphasizing critical elements.

• Support the development of internal analysis products, constellation performance demonstrations, and training sessions.

• Collaborate with customer programs, business development, and internal projects.

• Execute additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines (e.g., aerospace, mechanical, software), physics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent technical experience.

• Knowledge of spacecraft systems, operational concepts, satellite constellations, or modeling and simulations.

• Capacity to work autonomously and juggle multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in software languages (preferably Python and C++).

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency in the U.S., protected individual status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligibility to secure necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations.
