This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Serve as a consultative resource for application teams, offering technical advice, standards, process expertise, and tools for delivering products and services within multi-cloud environments.
• Develop Continuous Infrastructure Automation processes and tooling with guardrails for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Create tools, scripts, and frameworks to enhance automation, monitoring, and management of extensive environments.
• Construct declarative provisioning and configuration templates for self-service provisioning.
• Develop templates for governance, compliance, and security-as-code.
• Design and implement automated multi-cloud deployment frameworks utilizing CI/CD.
• Architect, design, and construct VF’s AI and Data Platforms in Azure Databricks and Azure AI Foundry.
• Propel organizational transformation regarding AI and Data platforms in cloud environments.
• Oversee source code and build artifacts for the Continuous Infrastructure Automation platform.
• Implement, manage, and support multi-cloud platform tools, including CI/CD, SCM, artifact repositories, monitoring, observability, cost management, governance, and compliance tools.
• Guide team members and colleagues on cloud best practices, GitOps, and DevOps principles.
• Research, implement, and disseminate infrastructure-as-code solutions throughout the enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience in cloud platform engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and platform services, including AWS and Azure.
• Extensive familiarity with public cloud offerings such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
• Capability to serve as a champion for a DevOps culture.
• Proficiency in rapidly iterating within an agile development process.
• Experience with CI/CD automation.
• Experience in building infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of cloud-native engineering, including Kubernetes, containers, Docker, and serverless technologies.
• Familiarity with test-driven development frameworks for both application and infrastructure code.
• In-depth experience in network and system engineering, encompassing DNS, ADFS, HTTPS, firewalls, and L7 routing.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of ITIL, SDLC, DevOps, and agile processes and practices.
• Experience adhering to enterprise change and release management processes.
• DBA experience is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of SRE frameworks for monitoring golden signals and relevant tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Availability for extended work hours, including participation in on-call rotations.
• Willingness to travel by air and stay overnight, up to 10%.
