This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and develop AWS cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform along with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance to ADTs regarding cloud solution patterns, deployment strategies, and architectural decisions.
• Take ownership of automation processes from Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and pipeline design to production operations.
• Engage in on-call rotation and enhance observability and monitoring practices.
• Offer technical support and advice to users of AWS and managed services.
• Create, deploy, and sustain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee AWS environments, detect performance or availability problems, and troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to implement cloud solutions and enhance reliability.
• Keep configuration documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) updated for all environments.
• Execute backups, scheduled upgrades, and maintenance during designated maintenance windows.
• Monitor security vulnerabilities and conduct ad hoc upgrades and maintenance as necessary.
• Assist in audit activities by supplying logs, reports, and system configurations.
• Manage and support AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, policies, permissions, and access controls.
• U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary Public Trust level clearance.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment credit check as mandated by the Customer.
• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience; or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture, networking, security, serverless/microservice architectures, and containerization.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, especially with advanced Terraform capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including reusable/shared components for enterprise-scale delivery.
• Practical experience in monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SaaS application logs.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python and Bash; experience with Ansible is a plus.
• Proficient in configuration management, observability, reliability, and disaster recovery practices.
• Skilled in cloud engineering processes using automation tools such as Terraform, Python, and GitLab CI for AWS workloads.
• Strong proficiency in Git, including familiarity with common branching/release strategies like GitFlow.
• Experience with CloudFormation, PowerShell, JavaScript/Node.js, or other scripting languages is preferred.
• Background in incident management, root cause analysis, and resolving high-priority incidents in large, multi-tenant environments is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
