Senior Energy Markets Manager

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the MISO portfolio and ensure accountability for revenue and profitability associated with the MISO DER portfolio, which includes financial modeling, forecasting, and optimizing performance.

• Monitor changing MISO market regulations and product developments, translating their implications for customers, Product, and Energy Markets.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with MISO personnel, utility representatives, and DER/technology partners.

• Oversee and nurture a small team through effective delegation, coaching, and skill enhancement.

• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations.

• Determine priorities for initiatives and swiftly adjust to evolving market conditions and priorities.

• Direct the operational onboarding of new resource types, such as batteries, and integrate new technology/DER partners into the MISO portfolio.

• Articulate MISO strategy and market developments across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy markets, demand response, or a closely related domain.

• Proven history of effectively leading a team.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Exceptional instincts for cross-functional project management.

• Ability to quickly establish trust and communicate effectively with both internal and external teams.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and a rapidly evolving market environment.

• Must possess authorization to work from a home location in the US or Canada.

• Experience with SQL and/or Python is preferred.

• Bonus: Experience in managing or onboarding battery storage assets.

• Bonus: Experience working directly with an RTO/ISO; familiarity with MISO is a significant advantage.
