This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Deliver advanced support, analysis, and optimization for clinic practice management and clearinghouse systems.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Waystar, CareLogic, and Medgen.
• Ensure that scheduling, registration, coding, and billing-related workflows operate smoothly.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to enhance patient access and streamline operations.
• Guarantee compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Oversee PM Analysts.
• Work alongside the VP, Director, and Business Analysts.
• Maintain the payer list and billable service mapping.
• Independently manage assigned projects and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Assist with the preparation and cleanup of legacy systems.
• Troubleshoot RCM-related tickets.
• Ensure the confidentiality of patients’ personal and financial information.
• Provide guidance for implementation, software setup, and maintenance.
• Address stakeholder inquiries related to RCM onboarding, process changes, and operations.
• Assess processes, implement improvements, and update any process changes.
• Attend, participate in, and facilitate meetings.
• Document changes, workflows, and processes.
• Implement and maintain workflows for EMR, clearinghouse, and RCM services.
• Support the RCM department as the EMR billing and collections subject matter expert.
• Comply with HIPAA laws.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• EMR system configuration experience is required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing in the current position.
• Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations for leadership meetings.
• Experience in medical billing.
• Familiarity with Waystar clearinghouse and EDI files.
• Experience with web-based billing software and electronic health systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in substance abuse and/or primary care.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Above-average proficiency with internet/computer usage.
• Prior experience with CareLogic is ideal.
• Must comply with HIPAA regulations.
