Senior Employee Relations Specialist, Transitions – APAC

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage and resolve complex employee exits independently across various international jurisdictions.

β€’ Offer guidance on procedures related to termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy.

β€’ Lead meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, settlements, and termination outcomes.

β€’ Influence and negotiate favorable outcomes in intricate termination cases.

β€’ Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders such as payroll, legal counsel, government entities, and trade unions.

β€’ Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documentation.

β€’ Keep employee records in accordance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

β€’ Facilitate offboarding through Remote’s internal HRIS platform.

β€’ Collaborate with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and other teams.

β€’ Act as an informal escalation point and mentor for junior team members.

β€’ Offer guidance on Employee Relations resources and address complex workplace scenarios.

β€’ Conduct initial assessments of workplace issues to identify applicable regulations and potential solutions.

β€’ Track and manage employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-up.

β€’ Resolve offboarding and first-level employee relations inquiries as a subject-matter expert.

β€’ Identify and promote process improvements, automation, product development, and enhancements to customer and employee experiences.

β€’ Establish methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments while adapting complex techniques to achieve desired outcomes.

β€’ Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, possessing generalist HR competencies and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Demonstrated ability to manage voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) independently, with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance.

β€’ Proven experience in providing comprehensive HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

β€’ Knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.

β€’ Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments while analyzing complex HR issues.

β€’ Capability to independently research, develop usable team resources, deliver practical solutions, and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

β€’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.

β€’ Competence in leading difficult conversations independently towards positive outcomes.

β€’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English at a business level.

β€’ Strong inclination towards process innovation, optimization, automation, and advocating best practices.

β€’ Efficiency in operations, diligent record-keeping, and maintaining data integrity.

β€’ Tech-savvy, capable of collaborating asynchronously using evolving systems.

β€’ Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, asynchronous remote environment across international boundaries.

β€’ Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

β€’ Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership.

β€’ Proficiency in automation and AI capabilities, with fluency in AI applications.

β€’ Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are considered advantageous (optional).
