Senior Employee Relations Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and address intricate employee exits independently across various international jurisdictions.

β€’ Provide counsel to clients regarding termination, resignation, transfer protocols, employment agreements, and redundancy procedures.

β€’ Facilitate consultations on workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, settlements, and meetings regarding termination outcomes.

β€’ Negotiate and influence favorable results in complex terminations that involve multiple stakeholders.

β€’ Collaborate with payroll, legal advisors, governmental agencies, trade unions, and other parties to ensure compliance and audits are met.

β€’ Create, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documentation while safeguarding confidential employee information.

β€’ Execute offboarding processes via Remote’s internal HRIS platform, working alongside Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.

β€’ Act as an informal escalation resource, providing mentorship and support to junior team members.

β€’ Offer first-level Employee Relations advice and assist clients in navigating complex workplace challenges.

β€’ Evaluate workplace issues, pinpoint pertinent facts and regulations, and suggest suitable courses of action.

β€’ Advise clients on progressive discipline, documentation needs, and challenging workplace scenarios.

β€’ Monitor employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-ups are conducted.

β€’ Address offboarding and initial employee relations inquiries as a subject-matter expert.

β€’ Propel process enhancements, automation initiatives, product development, and improvements in customer and employee experiences.

β€’ Establish methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments while adapting complex techniques to align with Lifecycle and Remote requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Demonstrated experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with a broad range of HR competencies throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Proven ability to independently handle voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with empathy, sensitivity, and adherence to legal standards.

β€’ Experience in delivering comprehensive HR advice and insights on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

β€’ Knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and fundamentals of workplace investigations.

β€’ Capacity to interpret and implement industrial instruments and analyze intricate HR challenges.

β€’ Proficient in independently researching issues, converting findings into practical team resources, and offering actionable solutions.

β€’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.

β€’ Advanced business-level proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is a benefit.

β€’ Strong inclination towards process innovation, optimization, automation, and promoting best practices.

β€’ Competence in operational efficiency, meticulous record-keeping, and maintaining data integrity.

β€’ Technologically adept and capable of collaborating asynchronously using various tools while adapting to changing systems.

β€’ Ability to function autonomously and cohesively in a fast-paced, international, remote environment.

β€’ Openness to flexible working hours as necessary.

β€’ Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating ownership and accountability.

β€’ Strong capabilities in automation and AI, with fluency in AI technologies.

β€’ Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are considered advantageous.
