This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the primary analytical resource for clients in the public sector.
• Provide sophisticated financial analysis, strategic reporting, and insights driven by data across intricate employee benefit programs.
• Oversee comprehensive renewal analyses for all coverage lines, including those that are non-marketed and negotiated.
• Assess claims experience, utilization trends, financial performance, risks, opportunities, and cost drivers.
• Formulate strategic recommendations that facilitate long-term planning and funding strategies for benefits.
• Direct the development and execution of RFPs for designated clients.
• Analyze and evaluate carrier proposals while assisting in negotiations with carriers.
• Create and present both scheduled and ad hoc financial and management reports.
• Deliver renewal analyses, performance results, and strategic recommendations to client personnel, committees, and leadership groups.
• Simplify complex financial and healthcare data into clear, client-centric insights.
• Collaborate with Benefits Consultants on strategic planning and the design of benefit programs.
• Aid clients in decision-making, plan optimization, and the assessment of new services, vendors, or enhancements to programs.
• Examine and interpret compliance requirements, including 112.08 filings, OPEB reporting, and analysis of imputed income.
• Integrate ACA, COBRA, healthcare reform, and other regulatory aspects into analyses.
• Assist with due diligence, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting.
• Generate financial reports for both fully insured and self-funded funding arrangements.
• Guide Analysts in financial modeling, reporting standards, and analytical methodologies.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of work prior to client delivery.
• Facilitate the onboarding and training of new members of the analytical team.
• Work collaboratively with Client Services, Consultants, carriers, and vendors.
• Aid in resolving issues, enhancing processes, standardizing practices, and promoting analytical best practices.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in employee benefits, analytics, brokerage, or consulting.
• Advanced expertise in renewal and financial analysis.
• Proficient in claims and utilization reporting.
• Experienced in RFP development and carrier evaluations.
• Strong understanding of fully insured and self-funded benefit plans.
• In-depth knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including ACA and COBRA.
• Experience in the public sector is preferred.
• Possession of an active state-issued 2-15 license.
• Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to convert complex data into actionable strategic insights and recommendations.
• Excellent presentation skills and client-facing communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
• Capacity to independently manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively across various teams and functions.
