Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create middleware utilizing C/C++

• Tailor Yocto and Buildroot distributions

• Design device drivers for bootloaders and Linux kernels across various embedded hardware platforms

• Develop or modify board support packages (BSP) for clients' hardware, encompassing software updates, heightened security, and optimization

• Engage in discussions regarding low-level software architecture

• Oversee schedules, project requirements, specifications, and deliverables in collaboration with teammates and clients

• Take part in project validation, estimation, and sizing

• Improve skills through collaboration and learning from colleagues

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical assessment is mandatory as the initial step in the screening process

• Valid work authorization in the U.S. is required

• Immigration sponsorship is not available

• Expertise in Yocto and C is essential

• Experience in embedded C++ development

• Proficient in Linux kernel and middleware development on ARM architecture

• Background in embedded design, development, and debugging

• Ability to convey technical information clearly and accurately to clients

• MS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

• Over 5 years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer

• Familiarity with Buildroot

• Capability to work remotely and communicate effectively with team members and clients
