Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and expand a large-scale platform that manages millions of voice and SMS interactions each month.

• Drive innovation and enhance GenAI and language AI voice technologies for low-resource languages.

• Design scalable software and lead solutions to completion in collaboration with team members.

• Strategize work, provide accurate estimates, and partner with Technical Project Managers.

• Offer developer insights during solution and application design phases.

• Monitor estimates, communicate progress, and ensure accountability to deadlines.

• Balance between immediate fixes and long-term, high-quality solutions.

• Apply consistent coding methodologies and implementation strategies.

• Collaborate across engineering, QA, and Infrastructure teams.

• Assist colleagues in overcoming obstacles and advancing team objectives.

• Contribute to the engineering team's processes, learning initiatives, productivity, and overall well-being.

• Rotate as the primary production engineer, addressing issues across voice, SMS, and AI.

• Enhance system observability, resilience, and safety during rollouts.

• Optionally oversee and support the professional development of colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in web application development across all application layers.

• Proficiency in API development, including scalable, well-documented, and developer-friendly APIs.

• Capability to balance speed with code quality.

• Experience in building scalable solutions utilizing queues, caches, and intelligent design patterns.

• Commitment to proactive and ongoing communication.

• Experience with LLM and Language AI technology (optional but advantageous).

• Background in telephony and audio processing (optional but a plus).

• Ability to navigate technical and architectural constraints while thinking creatively.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.

• Immediate availability is preferred.

• Familiarity with Python, PHP/Laravel, Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Travis CI, MySQL, BigQuery, Vue.js, TypeScript, ESLint, and Webpack is desirable.
