Lead Engineer – Solar

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee project design teams consisting of 2–6 members

• Create optimized utility-scale solar designs that are ready for construction

• Generate solar PV design and construction documentation, including array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system analyses, and equipment installation specifications

• Engage directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery

• Evaluate and perform quality control on designs in accordance with internal standards, industry best practices, and client specifications

• Serve as the signing engineer for photovoltaic electrical designs

• Contribute to the development of internal solar engineering standards, toolsets, and operational processes

• Lead site assessments and project meetings

• Assist early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material estimates

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution

• Electrical PE license is required or the ability to secure licensure within 6 months

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the solar sector or power generation

• Proficient in solar design software applications, including CYMCAP, PVFARM, SAM, and PVsyst

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Capability to present complex information clearly and effectively to all stakeholders

• Competence in managing projects, tasks, and client relationships

• Experience in estimating or designing electrical systems is essential

• Familiarity with photovoltaic systems, NEC regulations, and construction practices is highly desired

• Must possess the ability to work permanently in the United States

• Relevant military experience is considered
