
Senior Electrical Estimator – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create precise and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects.
• Examine project plans and specifications to identify the scope of work and necessary materials.
• Direct detailed cost management strategies in collaboration with project teams.
• Evaluate project needs and suggest value engineering alternatives.
• Conduct cost risk assessments and contribute to value engineering efforts.
• Engage in communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and other involved parties.
• Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to generate estimates.
• Offer estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders.
• Keep current with estimating processes and methodologies.
• Compile formal estimating reports that detail quantities, costs, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications.
• Mentor and provide support to junior estimators.
• Assist with large-scale, mission-critical hyperscale and enterprise data center construction projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Follow relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
• At least 5–7 years of pertinent experience.
• Background in a construction cost management role, such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.
• Experience delivering conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or similar firm.
• Familiarity with supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.
• Strong knowledge of technical aspects within the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.
• Exceptional communication abilities.
• Understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, power distribution, substations, emergency power systems, switchgear, UPS infrastructure, grounding, controls, and communications systems.
• Proficiency in using industry-specific estimating software and tools.
• Capability to prepare formal estimating reports that encompass quantity, cost, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications.
