Senior Electrical Engineer – Healthcare Buildings

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and evaluation of electrical systems for intricate healthcare facility projects.

• Act as a technical expert by implementing advanced electrical engineering principles within healthcare settings.

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control to ensure that electrical designs align with project goals and regulatory requirements.

• Engage in research to develop innovative design solutions that enhance patient care and operational effectiveness.

• Provide guidance and direction to staff on electrical design strategies to fulfill project specifications and client needs.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate electrical systems into comprehensive project designs.

• Assist in the formulation of standards and guidelines for electrical engineering practices.

• Mentor and oversee junior staff, offering technical support and career development advice.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience with progressive responsibilities, ideally in healthcare facility design.

• Healthcare-related certifications, such as Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or Healthcare Physical Environment Worker, are advantageous.

• Membership in a state or national chapter of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) or equivalent is preferred.

• Experience in the development of National Codes/Standards and participation in relevant committees is highly desirable.

• Proven expertise in leading complex electrical design projects and providing technical direction within a team.
