Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and guide the electrical engineering team to guarantee timely and high-quality project outcomes.

• Assess and validate electrical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and equipment schedules.

• Perform technical evaluations of power distribution, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, ELV interfaces, and various electrical infrastructures.

• Review and authorize electrical shop drawings, material submissions, and vendor documentation.

• Analyze load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit studies, cable sizing calculations, and other engineering assessments.

• Offer technical direction and solutions for site inquiries, RFIs, NCRs, and engineering change requests.

• Collaborate with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Public Health, ELV, and BIM disciplines.

• Supervise construction activities remotely and provide engineering assistance to site teams.

• Ensure adherence to UAE regulations, international standards, client expectations, and project quality procedures.

• Engage in design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and progress evaluations.

• Assist in BIM coordination efforts and confirm that electrical models align with BIM execution plan requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Over 10 years of on-site experience.

• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.

• Extensive expertise in electrical design review and construction support.

• Solid understanding of electrical engineering codes, standards, and authority regulations.

• Capability to effectively manage remote engineering teams and site support activities.

• Proficient in reviewing BIM models, engineering calculations, shop drawings, and technical submissions.

• Exceptional problem-solving, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong communication and leadership skills in multidisciplinary project settings.

• Familiarity with UAE local authority regulations and international standards including IEC, BS, NFPA, and IEEE.

• Experience in reviewing electrical submissions from contractors.

• Ability to assess load calculations, cable sizing, and protection systems.

• Competence in addressing technical inquiries.
