Senior Education Research Consultant, Research Security/Export Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee project work streams for Huron clients to implement intricate solutions in institutional governance and compliance.

• Direct consulting projects centered on research security, export control, and institutional governance.

• Employ Huron methodologies and analytical tools.

• Collaborate with leadership from universities and healthcare institutions, as well as client staff and executives.

• Supervise junior team members at Huron.

• Execute comprehensive solutions aimed at enhancing administrative processes related to research security.

• Improve organizational effectiveness and foster sustainable transformation and practices in research security administration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess current U.S. work authorization.

• At least 3 years of experience in consulting, Higher Education, Healthcare, or a related field.

• Direct experience in a research security and/or export control office or function at a university, hospital, or research institution.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50%.

• Export Compliance Professional (ECoP®) certification is preferred.

• Preferred experience in secure research, conflicts of interest, conflicts of commitment, research operations, and/or regulatory compliance.

• Previous consulting experience is preferred.
