This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead and drive revenue and market share objectives for the Coronary portfolio within a designated district.
• Formulate and execute strategic business plans.
• Build and nurture high-performing sales teams while developing key customer relationships.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on cardiovascular sales and marketing goals.
• Develop and implement both short-term and long-term business strategies.
• Conduct field visits, as well as individual and group meetings, including telephone contacts.
• Train and mentor employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career objectives.
• Coordinate sales activities effectively.
• Communicate corporate, divisional, regional, and district missions, goals, and initiatives.
• Direct and motivate staff to meet unit and revenue targets.
• Provide coaching, constructive feedback, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and assistance with individual development plans.
• Implement customer-focused quality principles.
• Oversee district budgets, forecasts, inventory, and expenditures.
• Negotiate and resolve pricing and contractual issues.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and managers of other product lines.
• Cultivate ethical, long-lasting customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to clients.
• Recruit, interview, and hire top talent while achieving workplace diversity objectives.
• Offer marketing intelligence insights to sales and marketing management.
• Travel to multiple accounts throughout the region.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of medical sales experience and 2 years in a leadership role, or an Advanced degree with 5 years of medical sales experience and 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven track record in medical sales, preferably with pacing or stent products.
• Experience in sales and personnel management functions.
• Familiarity with pacing or interventional cardiology customer base.
• Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related fields is preferred.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residency and an active vehicle insurance policy are required.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane.
• Ability to work in Cath Labs and/or O.R. with exposure to radiation.
• Flexibility to conduct company business outside the standard Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule.
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a qualification satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is mandatory.
• Capability to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to sit and stand for 8 hours per day.
• Comfortable wearing a lead apron for extended periods.
• Proficient in using computers.
