Senior Distributed Software Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive architecture and design of a distributed storage service tailored for AI/ML applications.

• Create and sustain distributed, resilient, and scalable Go applications deployed within open-source ecosystems, including Kubernetes.

• Design and support user-space applications, containers, Go bindings, and command-line interface (CLI) tools.

• Develop features for a distributed storage service to improve availability and reliability for large-scale implementations.

• Collaborate and engage with NVIDIA Research, Computing, Product teams, cross-functional teams, and external clients to provide cloud services.

• Automate the end-to-end process of the distributed storage service, encompassing deployment, management, and monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 8 years of professional experience.

• Strong expertise in developing distributed systems utilizing Golang, Kubernetes, and integrations with Cloud Service Providers.

• Proven history of delivering distributed services across various distributed computing environments.

• Experience in implementing storage services and interfaces designed for scalable, high-performance, and reliable solutions.

• Track record of taking ownership of product delivery from inception through to support.

• Experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-level software.

• Proficiency in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications within a Kubernetes environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience in architecting, building, and deploying distributed services on large-scale clusters is a significant advantage.

• Ownership of all lifecycle stages of software development and delivery is a notable qualification.

• Interest and expertise in accelerated computing environments such as GPU Direct Storage, DPU, and RDMA, along with cloud services oriented towards distributed systems is a significant advantage.
