Senior Disputes Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect, design, develop, and enhance enterprise-level data platforms, analytical data models, and data integration solutions.

• Create and construct data structures, schemas, and pipelines from the ground up.

• Offer technical leadership in SQL engineering, ETL/ELT development, cloud platforms, API integrations, data modeling, performance optimization, and enterprise data governance.

• Create and refine data solutions that support analytics, reporting, business intelligence, and operational tasks.

• Develop scalable data structures, schemas, dimensional models, and enterprise data pipelines.

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks and automated data integration processes.

• Create and sustain API integrations and automated data ingestion frameworks for both internal and external source systems.

• Design and execute cloud-native data solutions utilizing Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or similar technologies.

• Guide database performance tuning, which includes strategies for indexing, workload optimization, execution-plan analysis, and query optimization.

• Develop advanced SQL solutions utilizing CTEs, window functions, complex joins, stored procedures, analytical functions, and principles of relational modeling.

• Provide service to both internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the interests of credit unions.

• Collaborate across various teams and functions to meet business objectives.

• Identify and report risks, while managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the work area, including Information Security risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technology field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• At least 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Analytics Engineering, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, or related fields.

• Proven experience in constructing enterprise-scale data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Familiarity with integrating data from APIs, databases, flat files, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL development or MIS reporting and analysis required.

• At least 2 years of experience in creating and modifying macros, queries, and tables.

• Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data manipulation, complex visualizations, dashboards, and calculations.

• Experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense and Tableau.

• Experience in data modeling, ETL/data pipeline, and metadata governance.

• Knowledge of disputes, chargebacks, fraud operations, and case management systems preferred.

• Ability to regularly sit, use hands for fine manipulation, and communicate effectively.

• Close vision required.

• Capability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.

• Regular and dependable attendance is essential.
