Senior Director – Strategic Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Shape and direct the Strategic Accounts Management strategy throughout TURMECA.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of regional healthcare trends, system priorities, procurement dynamics, competitive landscape, and specific account needs.

• Convert insights into unique Pan-Medtronic value propositions.

• Spearhead strategic account plans for both short- and long-term across private and public hospitals, healthcare groups, GPOs, and health authorities.

• Define goals, performance metrics, and prioritize resource allocation.

• Build and sustain relationships with C-suite leaders, hospital executives, government stakeholders, procurement bodies, GPOs, and health authorities.

• Serve as the executive sponsor for TURMECA’s most critical accounts.

• Discover opportunities for cross-portfolio growth, therapy expansion, capital placement, solution adoption, and account penetration.

• Formulate portfolio strategies with Operating Units and country teams to enhance and safeguard market share, optimize pricing, and expedite therapy introduction.

• Lead and facilitate intricate negotiations, including tenders, framework agreements, and multi-year partnership models.

• Achieve revenue, profitability, market share, and account growth targets.

• Implement integrated commercial and clinical value propositions.

• Coordinate with country teams, Operating Units, and enabling functions across TURMECA.

• Encourage regional knowledge sharing, standardization, and best practices in Strategic Accounts Management.

• Monitor the performance of strategic accounts, opportunity pipelines, forecasting, financial plans, and procurement cycles.

• Identify commercial, operational, and contractual risks, and enact corrective or mitigation strategies.

• Provide regular updates to the TURMECA Leadership Team.

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Strategic Accounts Management organization.

• Manage workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and succession planning.

• Act as an internal authority on strategic account management, procurement dynamics, and long-term partnership frameworks.

• Promote integrity, compliance, diversity, inclusion, and patient impact.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in strategic account management, business development, healthcare sales, commercial leadership, or procurement strategy; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of pertinent experience.

• A minimum of 10 years in managerial and people leadership roles.

• Demonstrated experience in managing large and complex strategic accounts across private, public, GPO, and health authority environments.

• Extensive regional or multi-country experience in healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or a similarly intricate industry.

• Strong capabilities in engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders.

• Proven track record in negotiating complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder agreements and establishing long-term partnerships.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare systems, procurement models, reimbursement, healthcare policy, and regulatory frameworks.

• Strong strategic, analytical, financial, and business acumen, including pricing, profitability, forecasting, and business case development.

• Proven capability to lead cross-functional and cross-country initiatives within an international matrix organization.

• Documented experience in building, leading, and developing high-performing commercial or customer-facing teams.

• Strong leadership presence, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

• Fluency in English is essential.

• Proficiency in Arabic, Turkish, and/or Russian is advantageous.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the TURMECA region.
