Senior Director, Scientific Affairs, Hematology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the player-coach and daily leader for the hematology-oriented Scientific Affairs team.

• Balance leadership duties with direct contributions to scientific outputs.

• Oversee team workload and project priorities to guarantee timely completion of scientific content and related outputs.

• Provide guidance, mentoring, onboarding assistance, and professional growth opportunities for hematology team members.

• Communicate resource needs, workload issues, and development opportunities to the EVP of Scientific Affairs.

• Create scientific content, including presentations and multimedia materials, in collaboration with key faculty.

• Develop post-event reports and/or executive summaries.

• Produce high-quality scientific materials featuring concise writing and accurate, balanced representation of clinical data.

• Review outputs for scientific accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.

• Collaborate with business development, operations, marketing, and other business functions.

• Support innovative medical education initiatives that address market, learner, and client needs.

• Maintain updated knowledge of disease states, emerging data, and clinical management practices.

• Follow internal operational procedures during content creation and review.

• Be prepared to work outside of standard business hours and travel as required by business needs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in life sciences, such as biology, chemistry, or nursing.

• Required background in hematology/oncology.

• At least 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology.

• Over 3 years of experience in medical education.

• Proven experience in the development of scientific content.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.

• Capability to convert scientific information into effective verbal and visual communication.

• Exceptional writing skills and a keen visual sense.

• Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint).

• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be a proactive self-starter.

• Comfortable with presenting and communicating across all organizational levels.

• Detail-oriented and accurate, with excellent time management skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
