📋 Description

• Oversee, mentor, and lead a team of supplier relations specialists and analysts throughout the APAC region.

• Facilitate commercial negotiations with regional telecommunications carriers, messaging aggregators, and OTT providers.

• Implement supply strategies and manage partnerships with regional vendors and carriers.

• Collaborate with APAC Sales and Product teams to assess market demand, anticipate capacity requirements, and enhance localized go-to-market strategies.

• Track supplier performance, route latency, delivery success rates, and margins to improve traffic distribution.

• Operationalize regional telecommunications regulations, local sender ID registries, and anti-spam policies.

• Act as the main escalation point for supplier SLA violations, network issues, and service quality problems.

• Travel around 20% to 25% regionally for supplier meetings and internal team alignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in the telecommunications or CPaaS sector, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or senior supplier/carrier management position.

• Comprehensive knowledge of APAC telecommunications ecosystems, messaging aggregators, and regional market trends.

• Demonstrated success in negotiating commercial supplier contracts and optimizing unit economics (COGS).

• Experience working with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to convert revenue demand into supplier capacity.

• Strong analytical abilities with a background in utilizing performance metrics and data tools for route optimization.

• Professional proficiency in English and an additional APAC language (such as Japanese, Mandarin, or Bahasa).

• Technical knowledge of core communication protocols and standards (e.g., SMPP, SIP, REST APIs, A2P/P2P messaging).
