This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
β’ Define and implement SCRI's revenue cycle strategy across SMO and CRO operations.
β’ Lead, nurture, and retain a multi-tiered organization, including direct management of the Director of Revenue Cycle and indirect leadership of the Director of Budgets & Contracts.
β’ Facilitate the integration of budgets, contracts, study initiation, billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
β’ Prioritize resources, technological investments, and initiatives for process enhancement.
β’ Establish and uphold scalable processes, controls, and documentation to ensure revenue cycle performance and billing compliance.
β’ Guarantee adherence to clinical research billing standards, coverage analyses, contract stipulations, accounting principles, and relevant regulatory requirements.
β’ Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Executive Leadership to assess financial performance and implement action plans.
β’ Oversee monthly operational reviews and executive updates on accounts receivable, DSO, unbilled revenue, aged balances, write-offs, and cycle times.
β’ Act as a strategic advisor on revenue cycle best practices, operational enhancements, and growth initiatives.
β’ Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of Director-level experience with direct leadership responsibilities.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in revenue cycle, receivables, finance, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or clinical research.
β’ Preferably seven or more years of progressive leadership experience, including overseeing managers and/or directors.
β’ Strongly preferred clinical research industry experience, particularly in both SMO and CRO settings.
β’ Familiarity with clinical trial budgets, site contracts, coverage analysis, Medicare Clinical Trial Policy, and research billing compliance requirements is preferred.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, reporting, and revenue cycle operations.
β’ Knowledge of emerging trends in clinical research, healthcare finance, and revenue cycle management.
β’ CRCR, HFMA, CPA, or similar credentials in healthcare finance or research administration are preferred.
β’ Proven capability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams while fostering accountability and results.
β’ Strong skills in prioritizing and executing tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.
β’ Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities.
β’ Demonstrated skills in negotiation, influencing, and building relationships.
β’ Advanced analytical skills, including experience in developing data models, dashboards, and performance metrics.
