Senior Director, Quality Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold a cohesive quality strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization and its products.

• Establish QA standards, processes, tools, and governance frameworks across all product lines.

• Lead initiatives for quality enhancement, conduct audits, and implement transformation programs.

• Promote the use of AI and ML-powered quality, testing, and risk assessment tools.

• Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics.

• Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards tailored for C-level leadership.

• Provide indirect leadership to around 150 QA/AQA professionals distributed across 10 product teams.

• Mentor QA managers, leads, and senior engineers.

• Develop and maintain a competency framework emphasizing automation, quality engineering, AI literacy, and contemporary testing methods.

• Oversee practices related to functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and automated testing.

• Enhance automation frameworks that support CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering delivery.

• Spearhead the integration of AI-assisted testing, generative AI tools, intelligent automation, and predictive quality insights.

• Ensure consensus on release criteria, quality gates, and readiness standards.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to enhance release stability, predictability, and performance.

• Engage in critical release reviews, escalations, and post-release assessments.

• Communicate risks, priorities, and release readiness to senior leadership.

• Work in partnership with Product Management, Customer Support, Customer Success, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Services.

• Enhance customer retention and competitive edge through improved product quality and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 10+ years of experience in QA, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.

• 7+ years of experience in QA leadership roles overseeing multiple products and global teams.

• Familiarity with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.

• Proven capability to lead in a matrixed or dotted-line environment.

• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted testing or machine learning-driven quality tools.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and business domains.

• A strong passion for quality, innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Experience in preparing and delivering reports and insights to C-level executives.

• Candidates must possess a valid and active security clearance that meets the role's requirements.

• Preferred: Experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software.

• Preferred: Knowledge of generative AI, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with large-scale QA modernization and organizational change initiatives.
