This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Propel growth, portfolio strategy, product content enhancement, pricing excellence, margin optimization, and competitive positioning within Sensata's Industrials segment.
• Oversee product management for Sensors, Electrical Protection, Switching, and Power products.
• Provide matrix leadership for growth initiatives in Datacenter, Energy, and Defense sectors.
• Develop market-informed product roadmaps and convert customer and technology trends into distinctive product solutions.
• Achieve profitable growth across HVAC, appliances, datacenter infrastructure, energy, factory automation, defense, and critical infrastructure markets.
• Take ownership of the Industrials product portfolio strategy and convert market priorities into actionable roadmaps across product lines, verticals, regions, and strategic accounts.
• Promote content-per-platform expansion and identify growth opportunities through new products, adjacency expansion, customer co-development, partnerships, channel expansion, and acquisition avenues.
• Establish 3-year and 5-year roadmaps for Sensors, Electrical Protection, and Switching.
• Manage portfolio margins, focusing on mix improvement, pricing discipline, product cost reduction priorities, value-based pricing, and lifecycle rationalization.
• Lead portfolio reviews to detect margin leakage, end-of-life candidates, product duplication, and reinvestment priorities.
• Set up pricing governance, discount discipline, and margin improvement objectives.
• Initiate product simplification and SKU rationalization.
• Direct product management directors across Sensors, Electrical Protection, and Switching.
• Establish a unified product management operating rhythm, including market maps, opportunity funnels, roadmap reviews, phase-gate input, pricing reviews, win/loss analysis, and portfolio health dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering to prioritize NPI investments and translate product requirements into differentiated, manufacturable, and scalable solutions.
• Support strategic customer interactions with product depth, market insights, and value propositions.
• Build and lead a competitive intelligence capability that encompasses competitor portfolios, technology transitions, pricing behavior, manufacturing footprints, M&A activities, and customer share changes.
• Transform market intelligence into product, pricing, and investment choices.
• Conduct quarterly competitive reviews and maintain market sizing, share tracking, and TAM/SAM models.
• Benchmark Sensata offerings against competitors to identify win themes, gaps, and roadmap actions.
• Provide dotted-line product leadership for Datacenter, Energy, and Defense initiatives.
• Develop product strategies for datacenter-relevant areas, including CDU sensors, leak detection, flow and pressure sensing, electrical protection, switching, current monitoring, power conversion interfaces, and critical infrastructure protection.
• Convert evolving customer architectures into content expansion prospects and actionable product roadmaps.
• Ensure that Industrials product teams align with datacenter and energy customer requirements without fragmenting the core portfolio.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, finance, and strategy to strengthen Sensata's competitive position and accelerate growth.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
• Over 15 years of experience in product management, product strategy, or business leadership within industrials technology markets.
• Proven track record of successfully managing product portfolios with accountability for growth, profitability, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
• Experience in driving growth through portfolio strategy, product content expansion, pricing, and margin enhancement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in both direct and matrix organizational structures.
• Global business experience across various regions, functions, and market segments.
• Strong understanding of sensors, controls, electrical protection, switching products, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with HVAC, appliance, datacenter infrastructure, energy, or related industrial markets.
• Experience leveraging competitive intelligence, market analytics, and portfolio performance metrics to inform business decisions.
