Digital Product Manager – Container Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, deliver, and oversee the lifecycle of the Kubernetes-based Container Platform.

• Take ownership of product vision, discovery, roadmaps, and backlog prioritization.

• Develop, implement, and execute a product strategy for the growing Kubernetes container platform.

• Create and execute a detailed product roadmap that prioritizes platform features, enhancements, and measurable outcomes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish success criteria, validate assumptions, and understand the needs of the platform and digital product teams.

• Navigate intricate container technologies to guide product decisions.

• Break down complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritize them according to value, risk, and stakeholder impact.

• Formulate and implement internal and external communication strategies to enhance product awareness, adoption, and stakeholder alignment.

• Define and manage metrics to evaluate success and inform product strategy.

• Participate in discovery and test-and-learn activities to validate assumptions and guide product direction.

• Oversee lifecycle management, ensuring that stack components are consistently updated to meet vulnerability management standards.

• Manage the product backlog while balancing feature delivery with lifecycle management.

• Mentor and coach product teams, stakeholders, and peers.

• Support Allstate’s container platform across data centers, AWS, and Azure cloud environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in new product or technology development in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with Platform as a Service or container orchestration software across various Kubernetes distributions, such as RKE2, EKS, AKS, or GKE.

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes container platform concepts and experience executing kubectl commands.

• Strong knowledge and experience with cloud services across multiple cloud service providers.

• Solid grasp of infrastructure-as-code and immutable infrastructure concepts.

• Experience working in a KPI-driven environment.

• Proficient in agile ceremonies and methodologies, including iterations, technical story writing, point systems, and refinements.

• Knowledge of API development, API testing, and basic SQL database queries.

• Experience in projects that effectively utilize continuous integration and continuous delivery.

• Ability to work during EST hours to collaborate with global partners.

• Required to undergo a background investigation.
