Senior Director, Portfolio and Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the strategic direction and objectives of the partnership program.

• Oversee the lifecycle management of drug development and commercialization within the partnership program.

• Provide leadership for the development of global product strategies.

• Establish effective processes for team management and communication.

• Facilitate strategic decision-making within the team and ensure the achievement of team goals and objectives.

• Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement to enhance team efficiency, quality, and performance.

• Assist with the onboarding and high-quality execution of projects with external partners on the Clinical SuperHighway.

• Develop, validate, and maintain comprehensive project plans and timelines.

• Conduct team planning sessions, create team charters, define project scope, and ensure alignment across global functions.

• Support the leadership of the partnership program in setting goals and operational KPIs.

• Plan, monitor, and manage milestones, goals, KPIs, budgets, dependencies, and critical paths.

• Implement effective project and risk management practices.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality work products and presentations.

• Provide alliance management for drug development partners to ensure smooth external collaborations.

• Consult with the Advisory Committee to integrate relevant insights into strategy and execution.

• Track project progress, goals, operational KPIs, and quality KPIs.

• Ensure the appropriate systems and technologies are deployed and connected with Global R&D.

• Organize and facilitate core team meetings to promote discussion, alignment, and decision-making.

• Monitor competitive movements and market intelligence, translating insights into strategic initiatives.

• Participate in discussions concerning company-wide standards, finalization, and implementation.

• Manage the governance process of the partnership program.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree with over 10 years of experience in drug development or commercial roles within academia, consulting, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.

• Strong knowledge and experience in managing complex global portfolios and programs.

• Familiarity with global clinical trial expertise and best practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and maintain positive work relationships throughout the organization.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and decisions.

• Capable of quickly assessing issues and situations to provide effective solutions.

• Detail-oriented while also maintaining a broad perspective.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time.

• Experience in Oncology/Hematology drug development is preferred.

• PMP certification is a plus.

• More than 5 years in leadership roles within a multicultural and international global portfolio environment is advantageous.

• This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
