📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the global Animal Safety R&D strategy.

• Oversee the complete R&D portfolio from initial concept to commercialization.

• Establish and manage portfolio governance, prioritizing projects, investments, and resources.

• Promote technical excellence through stage-gate processes, scientific rigor, quality, efficiency, and reliable delivery.

• Collaborate with Commercial, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs teams.

• Ensure products are designed with a customer-centric focus, scalability, manufacturability, and compliance requirements integrated from the beginning.

• Build, nurture, and maintain a high-performing global R&D organization.

• Enhance leadership capabilities, develop technical career paths, and implement succession planning.

• Encourage accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Diagnostics, Animal Science, Microbiology, Immunology, or a related scientific field; a DVM or PhD is highly preferred.

• Extensive senior-level experience in leading R&D, technical, or product development teams within the animal health, veterinary diagnostics, livestock production, or similar sectors.

• In-depth knowledge of veterinary medicine, animal health markets, veterinary diagnostics, and structured product development processes.

• Proven experience in building and managing innovation pipelines, making portfolio decisions, and guiding products from concept to commercialization.

• Established ability to lead complex, cross-functional, and international teams, fostering engagement, clarity of purpose, and strong performance in delivery.

• Strategic and commercially aware leadership skills, capable of assessing technical feasibility, customer demand, regulatory factors, and financial implications.
