Senior Director of Product – Capital One Shopping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee several teams of software and data engineers to design and implement data platform features for internal users.

• Comprehend enterprise data requirements and ensure compliance with established enterprise standards.

• Recognize user and stakeholder needs and integrate them into discussions regarding prioritization and trade-offs.

• Develop a product vision and roadmap that addresses the needs of stakeholders.

• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, designers, engineers, and others to enhance the roadmap and extract insights from experiments and launches.

• Build and nurture relationships with leaders and stakeholders who rely on platform capabilities and performance.

• Define, communicate, and track KPIs to monitor project progress and success.

• Identify, prioritize, and launch innovative merchant-focused products that enhance revenue and customer value.

• Manage daily product operations, including detecting bugs and leveraging opportunities through data insights.

• Foster a positive team culture through thoughtful leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

• Minimum of 7 years in Product Management.

• Strong interest and knowledge in emerging technologies, such as APIs, Big Data, and Native UIs.

• Proficiency in SQL for developing data-driven strategies, deriving insights, and troubleshooting issues.

• Excellent SQL and data analysis abilities for establishing and monitoring KPIs.

• Experience in managing large data sets using SQL, Python, and/or R.

• Background in backend product management.

• Experience in product management from ideation through to production and ongoing iteration.

• Capable of strategic thought leadership and presenting compelling visions to senior executives.

• Strong communication and consensus-building abilities.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.

• Proven interest and capability in AI; experience with AI is advantageous.
