Senior Director of Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the commercial performance for a portfolio generating between $3.5 million to $5 million in ARR.

• Achieve robust retention rates while aiming for a personal annual growth target exceeding $2 million.

• Navigate intricate renewal and expansion negotiations that involve multiple stakeholders, products, business units, and commercial factors.

• Safeguard existing revenue while exploring new growth opportunities.

• Identify opportunities for expansion across various products, technical capabilities, services, divisions, and scopes of work.

• Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with customer priorities and workflows.

• Maintain discipline in forecasting and ensure visibility into renewal risks, expansion prospects, deal progress, and anticipated revenue performance.

• Act as a senior commercial partner to C-suite executives, department heads, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.

• Facilitate executive business reviews, strategic planning sessions, renewal discussions, escalations, and expansion talks.

• Foster consensus within complex organizations and build trusted-advisor relationships.

• Grasp customer workflows and link SponsorUnited's intelligence, products, services, and technical capabilities to tangible value.

• Convert customer needs into commercial solutions and persuasive business cases.

• Support the commercialization and adoption of new products, data offerings, technical integrations, services, and revenue streams.

• Gather customer insights and market trends that inform company strategy, product development, and commercialization efforts.

• Mentor Growth Managers and Account Managers on intricate renewals and expansion opportunities.

• Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Business Solutions, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Executive Leadership.

• Coordinate internal resources for strategic clients.

• Contribute to account segmentation, forecasting, commercial planning, and initiatives aimed at customer growth.

• Advocate for customer needs while ensuring commercial judgment aligns with business goals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in account management, customer growth, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, sponsorship sales, SaaS, or revenue leadership roles.

• Proven track record of owning and expanding a significant enterprise book of business.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex, high-stakes renewals and expansion negotiations with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.

• History of driving substantial growth beyond existing contract values through new products, services, technical capabilities, business units, and scopes of work.

• Strong executive presence with a sophisticated, confident, and thoughtful approach in negotiations.

• Capability to navigate complex customer organizations and establish productive relationships at various levels.

• Strategic and consultative mindset that connects solutions to significant business outcomes.

• Ability to showcase data applications, business impact, and customer use cases instead of merely detailing product features.

• Strong commercial acumen, including opportunity identification, business case development, creative partnership structuring, and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Experience working with diverse portfolios of enterprise clients and adapting to various industries, organizational structures, and purchasing processes.

• Excellent skills in communication, forecasting, account planning, and cross-functional leadership.

• Experience in sports, media, entertainment, sponsorship, SaaS, data intelligence, or another technology-driven environment is highly preferred.

• Ability to operate strategically while remaining actively involved in account execution, negotiation, and daily commercial progress.
