This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the sales operations for professional services, establishing revenue objectives and driving initiatives to meet and surpass targets.
• Define service offerings while managing a team that sells to both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with Services leadership to clearly communicate high-value offerings within the P&C market.
• Create and enhance a robust pipeline through service offerings and customer engagement channels.
• Partner with sales operations to generate reports on services sales objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance for solution architecture teams, including workforce planning, performance management, coaching, career development, and readiness.
• Advance the solution architecture team towards exceptional performance in prospect and customer interactions and the delivery of high-value solutions.
• Establish and uphold solution architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices that align with Duck Creek products, cloud platforms, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, and Alliances to ensure architectural alignment from pre-sales to delivery and lifecycle management.
• Work in partnership with external organizations to define joint solution patterns and maintain consistent architectural approaches.
• Assist sales and account teams by providing executive-level technical and solution leadership for strategic opportunities.
• Represent the perspectives of solution architecture in leadership forums and cross-functional planning, including services strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
• Ensure that solution architectures communicate the value, differentiation, and outcomes of Duck Creek professional and partner-delivered services.
• Guide teams in creating repeatable solution and service patterns for scalable sales and delivery models.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in P&C insurance enterprise services sales, architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles.
• More than 5 years of experience in leading and managing technical teams.
• Proven experience in designing and governing large-scale, enterprise-level, cloud-based software solutions.
• Familiarity with the insurance or financial services software sector.
• Experience in a global insurance software sales organization.
• Formal architecture or cloud certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
• In-depth understanding of sales methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Extensive expertise in insurance P&C enterprise solution architecture and distributed systems design.
• Strong comprehension of cloud-native architectures, SaaS platforms, and integration technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop senior technical professionals.
• Strategic mindset capable of translating business objectives into architectural direction.
• Strong governance perspective combined with pragmatism and a focus on delivery.
• Exceptional communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to influence across functions and locations without direct authority.
• Sound judgment in evaluating architectural trade-offs, risks, and impacts.
