This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a multi-year enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap that aligns with business, clinical, data, and AI objectives.
• Build, lead, and nurture infrastructure teams across cloud, network, operations, end-user services, and managed service partners.
• Establish standards for infrastructure architecture, reference patterns, governance, and operational models.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on topics such as strategy, risk management, investment, and performance metrics.
• Take ownership of the multi-cloud strategy encompassing AWS, GCP, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
• Lead cloud platform engineering initiatives utilizing Infrastructure as Code, automation, infrastructure CI/CD, and policy-as-code.
• Drive FinOps practices, enhance cost visibility, optimize expenses, and manage reserved-capacity strategies along with chargeback/showback mechanisms.
• Enable the creation of secure infrastructure for platforms like Snowflake, enterprise AI/search systems, and ML/GPU workloads.
• Oversee the migration and modernization of workloads from on-premises setups to cloud environments.
• Manage the architecture of the enterprise network across various locations, including offices, clinical sites, manufacturing facilities, data centers, and cloud environments.
• Design secure connectivity solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Implement network segmentation and isolation strategies for manufacturing/OT and clinical settings.
• Supervise data centers, compute resources, storage, backup solutions, virtualization, hardware lifecycle management, and end-user computing.
• Operate security controls and technologies, including firewalls, WAF, proxies/SASE, NAC, and VPN.
• Integrate security by design principles and manage infrastructure vulnerability remediation and patching efforts.
• Maintain identity and directory infrastructure, which includes SSO, MFA, and directory services.
• Collaborate with the CISO organization during security incident responses.
• Ensure that the infrastructure adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Support validation of computer systems, change control, audit preparedness, and regulatory audits.
• Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including defining RTO/RPO targets and conducting DR tests.
• Establish observability frameworks, monitoring, alerting, SRE practices, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Advance ITSM processes by employing ITIL-aligned practices and ServiceNow.
• Manage both OpEx and CapEx budgets for infrastructure.
• Cultivate relationships with strategic technology, cloud providers, telecom, and managed service vendors.
• Assess emerging technologies to make informed recommendations regarding build, buy, or partner decisions.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure.
• At least 7 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary infrastructure teams at the director level or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive hands-on and architectural expertise in at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS and/or GCP.
• Proven experience managing multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
• Strong foundation in enterprise networking.
• Practical experience in engineering and operating security infrastructure in collaboration with a security organization.
• Experience operating within a regulated industry such as medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or financial services.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820, as well as frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF.
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, data center consolidation, network modernization, or similar enterprise projects.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and strategic technology, cloud, telecom, and managed service vendors.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills at the executive level.
• Preferred: experience within medical device, digital health, or connected-device companies that provide 24/7 clinical services.
• Preferred: experience supporting manufacturing or OT networks and familiarity with IEC 62443 or similar OT security practices.
• Preferred: knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, ML/GPU workloads, and enterprise AI tools.
• Preferred: global infrastructure experience across regions including the United States, United Kingdom/Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
• Preferred: AWS or GCP Professional Architect certification, CCIE/CCNP, MBA, or an advanced degree.
