Senior Director, Enterprise Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee architectural quality in all Adobe engagements.

• Conduct architecture reviews and set standards and cadence for these reviews.

• Define architecture standards, reference architectures, decision logs, and reusable patterns.

• Address and resolve complex design and integration issues personally.

• Create an accelerator and asset library that includes migration tools, discovery frameworks, estimation models, and solution blueprints.

• Recruit, develop, and manage a distributed team of multi-solution architects.

• Take charge of performance management and career progression decisions.

• Provide mentorship to architects specializing in content, data, and work management.

• Ensure effective architect allocation across multiple simultaneous engagements.

• Foster a culture of documented decisions, clear boundaries, and empowered judgment.

• Lead technical solutions for enterprise pursuits, encompassing architecture narratives, estimations, staffing, scopes, and technical presentations.

• Collaborate with sales teams, client partners, and Adobe alliance leads on deal strategies.

• Convert business challenges into scalable Adobe architectures and transform technical complexities into executive value propositions.

• Develop estimation discipline and track accuracy of estimates versus actual outcomes.

• Implement agentic engineering practices.

• Create agents, sub-agents, and orchestrated workflows for discovery, documentation, estimation, code reviews, and migrations.

• Assess AI capabilities and establish client-safe guardrails.

• Guide architects on AI-native working practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years in technology, including more than 5 years leading architects or senior technical staff on a global scale.

• Proven accountability for performance reviews, career development, and compensation decisions.

• Experience in an agency, consultancy, or systems integrator managing multiple concurrent clients.

• Experience delivering services across the US, India, and LATAM.

• In-depth, hands-on architectural expertise in at least one Adobe area: content and experience, data and personalization, or work management and content supply chain.

• Working architectural knowledge across all three Adobe architectural domains.

• Experience with enterprise integration architecture, including CRM, commerce, search, identity and SSO, analytics, and data platforms.

• Familiarity with API-first, composable, headless or hybrid, cloud-native, and event-driven architecture patterns.

• Ability to read code, troubleshoot issues, and justify architectural decisions.

• Proven track record leading complex projects such as data migrations, customer journeys, CSC, and transitions from legacy CMS to AEM, on-premise to AEMaaCS, and Edge Delivery Services.

• Regular hands-on use of AI engineering tools like Claude, Cursor, or their equivalents.

• Demonstrated experience in building agents, sub-agents, or orchestrated workflows.

• History of establishing AI-assisted practices within a team.

• Sound judgment regarding human-in-the-loop requirements and AI guardrails.

• Ownership of pre-sales activities, including estimations, staffing models, scope definitions, pricing inputs, and presentations.

• Experience managing executive stakeholders.

• Understanding of utilization, margins, and estimate-versus-actual accuracy.

• Experience with enterprise clients across the US, EU, and APAC.

• Familiarity with Adobe field, product, and partner organizations.

• Background in commercial negotiations and contract development.

• Experience leading distributed teams across different time zones.

• Comfort in operating within a developing practice.

• Willingness to travel for client engagements, Adobe events, and delivery team visits.
