Senior Director, Corporate Communications and Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a detailed corporate communications strategy that aligns with SCRI's mission, growth goals, and business priorities.

• Provide guidance to executive leadership on communications strategy, reputation management, media interactions, crisis communications, and relations with key stakeholders.

• Manage organization-wide internal and external communications programs across various channels and audiences.

• Oversee executive communications efforts, which include leadership messaging, town hall meetings, employee communications, and thought leadership initiatives.

• Supervise media relations activities, encompassing proactive outreach, press releases, media training, interview preparation, and reputation management.

• Lead a team responsible for media relations, communications, digital marketing, and strategic marketing projects.

• Ensure uniform messaging, robust brand positioning, and alignment with organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading corporate communications within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, clinical research, or similar fields.

• 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role managing marketing or communications professionals.

• Proficient in media relations, executive communications, employee communications, thought leadership, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.

• Experience in advising senior executives and acting as a strategic communications partner to organizational leadership.

• Demonstrated success in leading communications and marketing departments, aligning brand positioning, messaging, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare, oncology, clinical research, and biopharmaceutical development environments is preferred.
