Senior Director, Consumer Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the consumer and market insights function at ecoATM Gazelle.

• Take ownership of the complete consumer insights strategy.

• Integrate primary research, first-party transactional data, behavioral analytics, competitive intelligence, and market trends into actionable insights.

• Create a consumer learning agenda that focuses on critical strategic business questions.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Business Development on go-to-market strategies, product roadmap decisions, and evaluating channels/partnerships.

• Develop customer segmentation models and journey maps.

• Monitor the competitive landscape and current market trends.

• Share insights and recommendations with the Executive Management Team and board for strategic planning and IPO narrative development.

• Supervise external research vendors and panels while managing the research budget.

• Set up a reporting cadence for insights and create self-service dashboards/tools.

• Establish a scalable insights capability during the post-acquisition growth phase and prepare for IPO readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Statistics, Psychology, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

• Over 8 years of experience in consumer/market research or insights.

• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.

• Strong quantitative skills, including survey design, segmentation, and statistical analysis.

• Experience in translating research findings into clear, actionable business recommendations for senior leadership.

• Familiarity with analyzing behavioral/transactional data in addition to traditional survey-based research.

• Exceptional presentation and storytelling abilities.

• Confidence in presenting to executive leadership and the board.

• Experience in retail, consumer electronics, recommerce, or a dynamic, PE-backed environment is preferred.
