Associate Director, Field Medical Affairs – Thoracic Oncology, Pan-Tumor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Participate in the exchange of scientific data and medical/scientific information with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), researchers, pharmacists, and decision-makers in population health.

• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of solid tumors, including thoracic malignancies and other tumors of interest within clinical development and strategic medical plans.

• Build, nurture, and sustain professional relationships with KOLs.

• Serve as the primary clinical/scientific resource for HCPs concerning disease states and company products.

• Identify and engage relevant medical and therapeutic area experts, as well as investigators, to develop strategic engagement plans.

• Assist with company-sponsored trials and research initiatives led by investigators.

• Detect and report valuable medical insights.

• Recognize research gaps and educational needs to guide medical strategy.

• Address information requests and present/discuss scientific and clinical data in compliance with regulations.

• Deliver disease management and therapeutic area education to practitioners, payers, and researchers.

• Attend medical conferences to gather and report scientific, clinical, and competitive intelligence for internal stakeholders.

• Uphold company policies, procedures, principles, and financial controls with integrity and professionalism.

⛳️ Requirements

• A terminal scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, or DVM) is mandatory.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 4 years in an Oncology Medical Science Liaison role, is essential.

• Proficiency or experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is required.

• Experience with thoracic malignancies is preferred.

• Established connections with KOLs in thoracic malignancies and familiarity with institutions focused on solid tumor malignancies is preferred.

• Experience with drug launches is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, pharmaceutical regulations/compliant practices, and OIG guidelines is necessary.

• Residency within the assigned territory is required.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
