This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.
• Develop and implement the enterprise compensation philosophy and total rewards strategy.
• Oversee annual compensation planning, which includes merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, and incentive programs.
• Create salary structures, job grades, pay bands, and methodologies for market pricing.
• Perform pay equity analyses and suggest corrective measures.
• Collaborate with the Finance team on labor budgeting and workforce planning.
• Assist with acquisitions and the harmonization of compensation.
• Direct health and welfare benefit programs while managing brokers, consultants, carriers, and administrators.
• Manage annual benefits renewals and the Open Enrollment process.
• Provide strategic oversight for multi-state payroll operations.
• Enhance payroll controls, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Maintain the enterprise job architecture, career frameworks, and salary grades.
• Ensure adherence to ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS reporting, and relevant laws.
• Develop executive dashboards and KPIs, presenting recommendations to executive leadership.
• Optimize the Paycom compensation and benefits modules, improving automation, reporting, and data integrity.
• Lead the integration of compensation and benefits for acquisitions.
• Guide and develop the Total Rewards team.
• Create educational resources for managers and employees related to compensation, payroll, and benefits.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or Payroll leadership.
• Experience managing support for 1,000+ employees across various locations.
• Proven track record in leading compensation strategy, benefits administration, and payroll governance.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise compensation strategy, benefits plan design, payroll governance, job architecture, market pricing, and salary surveys.
• Experience with vendor negotiations, financial analysis, HR analytics, executive communication, project management, continuous improvement, change leadership, and multi-state compliance.
• Familiarity with Paycom or a comparable HRIS.
• Preferred experience in industrial services, construction, manufacturing, equipment rental, logistics, or field services.
• Preferred certifications include CCP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or CPP.
