This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Represent Inotiv’s portfolio of Discovery & Translational Sciences contract research services.
• Develop, lead, and implement a sales strategy based on geographic territory.
• Achieve sales targets within the designated territory.
• Cultivate commercial relationships and foster customer loyalty with existing clients.
• Evaluate opportunities to grow business with current clients.
• Identify and engage potential clients through targeted prospecting, industry events, and face-to-face meetings.
• Collaborate with scientific subject-matter experts and professional staff to establish Inotiv as the preferred service partner.
• Formulate and execute territory plans to attain strategic objectives.
• Create and qualify marketing-generated and self-initiated leads.
• Attend targeted networking events and regional industry conferences.
• Build relationships across scientific and executive levels of client organizations.
• Recognize Discovery & Translational Sciences opportunities and present Inotiv’s solutions and expertise.
• Prepare proposals and supporting documentation to facilitate contract awards.
• Coordinate internal project teams to address client requests and anticipated needs.
• Lead and engage in customer support initiatives.
• Maintain accurate CRM updates regarding territory activities, opportunity status, and accomplishments.
• Provide market analysis and competitive intelligence for ongoing improvement and strategic planning.
• Engage in required sales and technical training.
• Assist in onboarding new clients and projects, including CDA/MSA/CRR.
• Suggest new processes and services to meet unmet needs and enhance client experience.
• Safeguard confidential information.
• Interact with the community and company employees.
• Support other company initiatives as directed.
• BS/BA/MS degree in a related scientific or business field.
• An equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience will be considered.
• Preferred field sales experience in the CRO industry or a related sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient listening and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work independently with effective organizational skills.
• High level of self-motivation and professionalism.
• Team-oriented mindset with a keen desire to learn.
• Consultative selling skills from identifying opportunities to closing new business.
• Ability to creatively and positively resolve issues while navigating complex internal and external scenarios.
• Capacity to multitask and create a productive sense of urgency.
• Understanding of the drug discovery and development process, encompassing efficacy screening, DMPK, preclinical, bioanalytical, and clinical phases.
• Familiarity with a CRM system such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Ability to adhere to Inotiv’s core values.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%, depending on geographic location.
