This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop compelling, innovative content that delivers essential insights.
• Generate thought leadership and actionable strategies tailored to client needs.
• Assess client challenges and requirements to advance strategic initiatives.
• Forge insights positions within a team of analysts.
• Offer independent insights to Gartner leadership and shape research agendas.
• Conduct research and analysis to forecast market trends and developments.
• Guide clients and prospects through both virtual and in-person engagements.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior institutional investors, Venture Capitalists, and Private Equity Partners.
• Represent Gartner's Global Invest Practice at international market events and critical client briefings.
• Design and present materials at Gartner events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Provide sales support and facilitate Insights teams in addressing key client priorities.
• Execute timely, high-quality peer reviews of content.
• Build credibility as an industry expert in Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy.
• Engage in discussions around innovation, ideation, and research.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Insights community.
• Identify enhancements to the research process and create new methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
• Assist clients in regularly engaging with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Advanced degree (preferably a Master's in Finance, Economics, Business/MBA, STEM, or a PhD).
• Over 12 years of relevant experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Buy-Side Equity Research, or Strategic Consulting within the technology sector.
• Extensive knowledge of private investment lifecycles, valuation factors, deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management in Venture Capital and Private Equity.
• Demonstrated success in venture capital, private equity, or strategic advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and established market dynamics.
• Executive presence with the capability to engage buy-side partners, investment committees, and fund leaders.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional research and writing abilities.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills.
• Capable of analyzing and synthesizing data while applying relevant patterns and frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Subject matter expertise with comfort in presenting at both large and small events.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
• In-depth understanding of the global competitive landscape within the relevant domain.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with diverse teams in a multicultural global environment.
• Demonstrated learning agility and capacity to navigate complex, matrixed settings.
• Competence in effectively representing Gartner's research methodologies and strategic approaches.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
