• Develop groundbreaking, insightful content that is essential and impactful.
• Create thought leadership pieces, actionable strategies, and strategic insights that meet client demands.
• Assess client challenges and requirements to uncover root issues and drive strategic planning.
• Define Insights roles within a team of analysts.
• Deliver independent insights to Gartner leaders and shape research agendas.
• Explore, analyze, and forecast trends and changes in the cybersecurity market.
• Consult with clients and potential clients through virtual and in-person meetings.
• Design and present materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
• Offer sales assistance and represent the voice of the market.
• Conduct prompt and thorough peer evaluations of content.
• Act as an industry expert representing Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies.
• Engage in innovation, ideation, and research conversations.
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the Insights community.
• Enhance research methodologies and create new processes for service delivery.
• Guide and support junior team members.
• Facilitate regular client engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of relevant experience in the field or industry.
• Experience owning cybersecurity strategies and operational results as a CISO, deputy CISO, or similar leader.
• Proven track record in engaging with senior executives, translating cyber risks into business effects, and steering strategic risk management discussions.
• Experience leading enterprise-level cybersecurity initiatives involving emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in translating concepts such as Agentic AI, Zero Trust, Post-Quantum Cryptography, and Continuous Threat Exposure Management into strategic business plans.
• Leadership experience across the enterprise AI lifecycle, including securing AI systems, integrating AI into cybersecurity processes, AI governance, or AI risk management.
• Ability to provide guidance on global cybersecurity regulations and frameworks, including NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, NIS2, DORA, and the EU AI Act.
• Extensive knowledge of the cybersecurity market, including tooling platforms, market dynamics, capability mapping, and vendor portfolio consolidation.
• Executive presence and capacity to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data while applying patterns and frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex concepts clearly.
• Subject matter expertise and confidence in presenting at both large and small venues.
• Strong business and financial insight.
• In-depth understanding of the global and competitive landscape within the relevant domain.
• Capacity to work independently and collaborate within multicultural global teams.
• Quick learning ability and adeptness in navigating complex matrixed environments.
• Ability to effectively communicate Gartner's research methodologies and strategies.
