IT Security Analyst I – Evening Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monitoring of security events and manage incident response ticket queues.

• Assess security events according to service level agreements and objectives.

• Simplify cybersecurity terminology for clients by translating complex concepts into accessible language.

• Communicate indicators of compromise, isolation strategies, and remediation procedures.

• Examine system, security, and application logs to troubleshoot issues, detect unusual activities, and eliminate false positives.

• Utilize VC3 and client-specific tools, including endpoint detection and response systems, to analyze alerts and irregularities while constructing threat timelines.

• Investigate, escalate, contain, or eliminate harmful activities according to defined protocols.

• Create and present detailed written and verbal security reports and metrics to clients, colleagues, and management.

• Suggest enhancements to internal processes and procedures.

• Engage in threat hunting initiatives and special projects.

• Work the designated evening shift from 4pm to 1am EST.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in Information Security or a related discipline.

• Preferred certification: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA, C|EH, SSCP, or equivalent.

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewall administration, and endpoint detection and response solutions.

• At least one year of experience with EDR tools, ESGs, vulnerability management, and content filtering.

• Must be available to work from 4pm to 1am EST.

• The selected candidate will be required to undergo criminal and department of motor vehicles background checks.

• Must comply with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
